The name remains the same...

This illustration was realized for the Spanish edition of Conan the barbarian, inside a section called "other Conan's faces", where different artists were giving our particular vision about the barbarian.
My proposal was this one: A much wilder Conan in aspect that the Buscema's icon. The illustration was published in color, although I prefer post it this way in order to give you the opportunity to color it and send it to me to show.

Wolfblack... and white

Before Frank Miller was using successfully the clair-obscure style with his Sin City, there were other artists who used this technique. Breccia, for example. Anyway, it was with Sin City when many artists tried out this high contrasts style: Lee, Sale...
This illustration belongs to this time. I have to I have to recognize that more influenced by Deathblow's Jim Lee than for Miller.
Only white, only black, only bleeds.

Dragon-horse

Another pencil illustration. This time, a sexy warrior to loins of a Dragon. And a moon a-la-Frazetta.
The girl shows a tattoo of a dragon to prove that she belongs to the Sacred and Secret Order of the Dragon's Riders.

Cliffhanger

This splash-page belongs to Mortualia's second chapter. In a certain moment, two parallel actions were finishing in a cliffhanger situation, what allowed me to draw both principal characters in a moment of suspense... What will happen next?

I remember very well the release of Alan Moore's "The Hypothetical Lizard". It was february 2nd, 2005. CBR News posted a six-page preview of issue #1 and I could see for the very first time the finished pages.
My work was so detailed --reflections, textures, shadows, highlights...-- that I thought that there would be no room for balloons and text frames, but when I saw them I soon realised that you can always find room enough by hiding details, no matter where.

Cards, please

These are some of the trading cards that I drew for the Marvel game. I have thought it would be a good idea to put all of the together, almost like a mosaic.
Obviously, the cards' quality is not the best because of the poor resolution of the internet graphics where I have found them.
I will look my own ones and post them in good scans... as good as they can get!

This is a commission for a fan realized some years ago. I have always thought about it as the myth of David and Goliath seen trough Robert E. Howard's eyes.
There's no room for big fat snails, but pretty sure that there are a few on the floor...
